Real World Co-Design Platform: Reimagining Singapore Science Park
Can a science park become a community space where work, life and play come together? Through DesignSingapore Council’s Real World Co-design Platform, and with support from CapitaLand Development, students from Anglo-Chinese Junior College worked alongside STUCK Design to reimagine Singapore Science Park as a destination for those who work, study or live nearby. Using design thinking, they uncovered unmet needs, surfaced fresh perspectives and sparked ideas for more connected, human-centered spaces. From mapping insights to envisioning new possibilities, these students learnt how thoughtful design can shape more inclusive, vibrant spaces for all.

Real World Co-design Platform: Designing to Enable
Can design unlock new possibilities for play, connection and inclusivity? As part of the Real World Co-design Platform, DesignSingapore Council collaborated with SG Enable to bring together four design programme partners, Special Education (SPED) schools, social service agencies and mainstream schools. Together, they tackled real-world challenges – from creating safe and enjoyable play experiences for persons with visual impairment, to designing inclusive ways to connect with persons with autism, intellectual disabilities and hearing impairment. Through this programme, participants experienced how design can break down barriers, foster meaningful connection and build a society where everyone belongs.
